Do I need to have any programming experience?

No. EZChurch Site Builder is designed for people with little or no computer experience. The interface is right from your internet browser and the EZChurch control panel will help you through all of the steps required to set up and update your site. If you can open a web browser, surf the internet, and find your favorite sites you will be able to use the EZChurch Site Builder.

What kind of system does EZChurch Site Builder require?

You can operate the EZChurch Site Builder on any computer connected to the Internet. EZChurch Site Builder is compatible with all the latest web browsers and is incredibly easy to use.

Can our missionaries update their own information?

Yes. You can assign a user password and login to any staff member, missionary or volunteer. You can also limit the areas that the user can access.

Can we use our own design?

No, the EZChurch Site Builder provides a large number of website designs that you can select from.

What happens if we don't have any content?

No problem, you can enable or disable nearly any of the pages that you don't wish to display, until you have updated the content.

Can we create a unique site for our youth or other groups?

Yes. You can order as many additional websites as you would like and then link them to one another using the EZChurch Site Builder.

How long does it take to "go live"?

Generally speaking you can have a completed website up and running with content in a number of hours. You can even build your website with our Free Trial before you order. Once your order is completed, we will assign your trial settings to your actual website. Typically, your website will be available for you to edit the same day that you place the order.

Can I use my existing domain name?

Yes. If you would like to continue to use your existing domain name, we will send you the information to update your registrar information.

Can I register my own domain name?

Yes. You can select any .com, .net, or .org domain name that you want to use during the checkout process and it will automatically route to our servers, this is included free of charge with any of the EZChurch web hosting packages.  You can also register a domain through your own registrar account and we will provide you with the nameservers to use.

How often is EZChurch Site Builder updated?

Shepherd's Land is committed to improving the EZChurch Site Builder and has a design team continually updating and implementing new features into the software. We enjoy receiving feedback from our clients and work diligently on meeting all of our clients’ needs. You can expect new software enhancements frequently and all upgrades are free. This is the equivalent of having multiple people working on improving your website full time at your church.

Is my content secure?

All logins are directed through a secure encrypted login page and all of the content in our databases is backed up regularly. We believe strongly in protecting our users and their content and have worked hard at making the content as secure as possible.

How long does it take for my changes or updates to take effect?

Immediately. As soon as you select the “save changes” button in your EZChurch control panel, the new content is updated to your website.

Do I need any design skills?

No, the EZChurch control panel walks you through each step. All of our web designs can be maintained and updated by you or your staff with little to no computer skills, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can I create recurring events?

Yes. You can create recurring events simply by selecting that category in your control panel. Recurring events will automatically appear on our dynamic calendar system.

What kind of skills does setting up and maintaining EZChurch Site Builder require?

Only basic computer skills are required to set up and maintain an EZChurch Site Builder website. If you can use a browser, a keyboard and a mouse you're all set.

How long does it take to get my EZChurch website up and running?

Typically the same day that the order is placed. We'll get your domain name (e.g., yourchurch.org), set up the hosting for your new website, and get your password and user name set up. Then, depending on how much information you have to enter, your website should only take a matter of hours.

Can we use our own photos?

Certainly, uploading your own pictures, images and logos is recommended to personalize your website and is very simple to do with EZChurch Site Builder.

Is there a deadline on uploading pages or pictures?

There is no deadline. You can maintain your website 24/7 and make changes and updates as often as you want.

Is any training required to use the EZChurch Site Builder?

No training is required. It's very intuitive, but we do include online help within the site builder. We're also available to field any questions you may have whenever you have them.

What will be my web address?

You select your choice of web address (e.g. domain name) such as www.yourchurch.org during the checkout process.

Do I get e-mail with my website?

Email addresses are provided with the Bronze, Silver, and Gold EZChurch hosting packages.

What if I already have a domain name?

That's fine, we'll provide you with the nameservers to use and you can simply point it to our server. We will step you through the process if you have any questions.

Is there a cost to change to a different web design?

No, we provide many different web designs for you to select from and change as often as you like.

How do I get my web hosting set up and how much does it cost?

We set everything up for you, and it is all included in the monthly webhosting package that you order. You will just need to select a domain name and the website package that you prefer. We'll set up your website and provide you with a login to begin updating your new church website.

Am I eligible for any discounts?

We offer a 10% discount for annual billing (paying for a year at a time) for our Bronze, Silver, and Gold hosting packages! That's more than 1 month free each year.  During the checkout process, you can change the billing frequency to annual billing if you want to receive the discount.

How will you bill me?

We offer both monthly and annual billing. You can pay by credit card online or select the direct pay billing option that will deduct your payment from a checking or savings account.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.  Log in to the control panel and on the main account page, you will find a link to change hosting level. Your account will then be moved to the new hosting level and the new billing amount will be charged on the next scheduled billing cycle.  Visit our plan comparison page for more information about specific plans.
